We are looking for an Indirect Tax Manager who meets the below requirements:

Skills:

  • Advanced business development skills, preferably in large accounting firm including managing pursuit list, follow-ups, initial presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advance technical knowledge of indirect taxes; specifically, VAT in the GCC, preferably hands on practical experience of delivering in high performance teams on advisory, compliance, litigation or similar
  • Advance technical knowledge of Customs duties and Excise Tax in the GCC region
  • Advance knowledge of audit independence conflict protocols/procedures
  • Advance experience of working with on-site and off-site support teams
  • Advance ability to multitasking and cater to multiple requests either internal and/or external simultaneously
  • Advance project management skills such as preparing and monitoring work progress trackers, responsibility matrix, scheduling status update calls, closure procedures
  • Advance ability to train and develop a team to support on advisory, structuring, compliances etc.
  • Advance skills to schedule and conduct technical sessions
  • Advance skills to identify opportunities in the market
  • Advance skills of establishing, retaining, and managing client relationships
  • Advance skills of handing audits / assessments from the regulator in Bahrain
  • Basic knowledge of CbCR and ESR
  • Basic knowledge of basic transfer pricing concepts and associated service offerings
  • Intermediate knowledge of legal / regulatory requirements in the middle east such as Commercial Registration, licensing requirements etc.  

Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, LLB, CS or equivalent professional qualification along with basic graduation in accounting and/or law.

Experience: At least 6+ years post qualification experience in large accounting firm having multi-jurisdictional presence.
