BDO Bahrain organises Audit methodology and International Auditing Standards update workshop

BDO Bahrain conducted a workshop for updating their staff, amongst other matters, on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), BDO audit methodology, the Audit Process Tool (APT) and the International Auditing Standards.

The training workshop covered BDO International Audit Methodology updates on the audit process including planning and execution of audit using risk based approach and provided updates on client acceptance procedures, CAATs and sampling techniques. It also included an update on the enhanced features built in BDO’s Audit Process Tool software (“APT”) and the recent global developments in the audit practice.  In addition, the staff were also trained on the changes in the audit reports which are mandatory for the 31 December 2016 audits onwards.  In addition, the training focused on regulatory compliance requirements including the Central Bank of Bahrain rule book and the Bahrain Commercial Companies Law.  The annual training sessions also focused on key changes in IFRS standards and financial statements reporting which are applicable to 2016 year-end audits.

More than 60 participants have attended the two day workshop held on 4th & 5th January 2017.  BDO provides training globally to ensure the staff has knowledge of all the recent developments and continue to provide high quality service to their clients.
